Why has the Stream 1 Communities fund closed?
The Communities stream was closed as there has been significant interest for the household stream over the first six months of the program and in response to representations from key stakeholders DTI have re-allocated Phase 1 funds to provide a further £6.2 million to support household projects. In order to facilitate this re-allocation, DTI have closed the community stream in Phase 1, along with other measures.
Applications by communities and public sector organizations can now be made through the newly launched Phase 2 of the program. In addition, communities and public sector organizations can also apply under Phase 1, Stream 2 . Please note that this is a competitive stream and all applications are subject to availability of funding.
Phase 2 of the DTI's Low Carbon Buildings Program (LCBP).
Grants for the installation of microgeneration technologies are available to public sector buildings (including schools, hospitals, housing associations and local authorities) and charitable bodies. We can arrange funding of up too 100%
Applications are not being accepted.
